Welcome Back from Spring Break on Monday, April 5th! A couple of items to be aware of for parents and students are below:

1 - Students in 3rd-8th grade will be testing using the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) this week in both reading and math on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please do your best to make sure your student is present, has a good breakfast either at home or school, and comes to school having had a good night's sleep. Thanks so much in advance for your help with this!

2 - Due to our bathroom remodel project/construction, the West Entrance/Exit will be blocked off for the Week of April 6th and the week of April 13th. If you are picking up your student, please pull up behind the bus, and your student will be dismissed directly to you from the main entrance/exit. Thanks in advance for your understanding!

The elementary end of the month reward was a lot of fun! We made smoothies with healthy ingredients and a smoothie bike. Big thanks to Lincoln Memorial Hospital for all the ingredients to make the smoothies and letting us use the bike! We did some spring coloring and parachute games while everyone got a turn on the bike. Congratulations to the winners of the goodie baskets! Keep on reading and working hard! Thanks a bunch to Tremont Bank for donating a goodie basket!

NH-M would like to congratulate our March Students of the Month, Cayson Nelson and Eli Johnson. Thank you also to Tremont Bank and Mrs. Coers for your continued support of this program.

Cayson Nelson

The Middle School Student of the Month is Cayson Nelson. Cayson has shown significant growth throughout the year in working with teachers to improve his grades, having more positive interactions with teachers and peers, and showing more confidence in himself and his abilities. We are all proud to see such growth, and are looking forward to seeing him develop his abilities and grow more during his time at NHM. He follows expectations, and has shown himself to be the smart, independent, kind, and hard working student we’ve always known him to be.  We are proud to call Cayson Nelson a New Holland-Middletown Mustang!

Eli Johnson

The elementary school Student of the Month is Eli Johnson. He has improved in many areas of kindergarten. He has learned to sit in his seat and complete his work. He has also learned to follow expectations during lessons and class discussions. He is smart, kind, and always has a smile and an interesting fact waiting. We are so proud to call him a New Holland-Middletown Mustang!
