Kindergarten is learning about force and friction. We experimented using hot wheels cars on the smooth tile floor of the cafeteria and the carpeted floor of the library. We gave them gentle pushes and hard pushes. They noticed when giving the cars a hard push on the carpet they stopped rolling and crashed.
