It speaks to the idea of allowing students to struggle a bit to get to answers and solutions. In the age of AI, Google, and instant answers, struggle at their level allows young people opportunity for growth as long as we take into account the individual young person and what he or she can reasonably handle.

Criteria for the 1st Quarter JH incentive trip has been set by JH staff today. We can't wait to celebrate.
To attend, JH students must have received no office referrals resulting in a consequence, have had fewer than 10 missing assignments across all classes for the quarter, have had no more than 2 unexcused absences, and no more than 3 lunch detentions with a teacher for any reason.

The 7th and 8th grade STEM class is studying Forensic Science this semester. Our first topic was Fingerprinting. Students have been studying the identifying characteristics of fingerprints. They each got to make a set of their own fingerprints.

Cheer is starting soon and Coach Maddi will be having an informational meeting in the gym at CCS next Tuesday, August 25 at 4:00. All interested cheerleaders and their parents are required to attend.
