Today we are celebrating our amazing Superintendent Candi Shaver! It’s Principal/ Superintendent week! We wanted to let her know just how valuable she is to all of us - to staff and students alike! Thank you to the staff who pitched in to help make this a very special week for her! The students even got into the spirit and wrote personal notes to her that were put up on the bulletin board in the hallway!! We truly couldn’t do it without you Mrs Shaver! Thank you so much!

Reminder to students and parents:

Today and Tomorrow 10/21/26-10/22/26 are parent/teacher conferences from 3:30-7:00 p.m. each evening. If you have not yet arranged a time to meet with your child's teacher(s), please email or call, and we will find a time to meet with you.

The book fair is also in full swing both evenings, so feel free to come and shop as well!

There is no school Friday, October 23, 2026 due to the late conference evenings this week.

Parents of students whose health records are not up to date as of today, 10/15/26, will be notified of required school exclsion begininng tomorrow as required by law.

Requirements were provided in May of last year for the upcoming year, at registration in late July, and again just a few days ago sharing information of Logan County's walk in clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. The deadline to provide that information to the school is October 15th each year.

Please address this need ASAP if you get commuication from the school today.

Cheer practice for tonight 10/13/26 has been cancelled.

Attention Cheerleaders and Cheer Parents:

Going forward cheer practice will be Tuesday/Thursday from 3:45-5 until the season starts.

The 1st Quarter Awards Assembly starts at 9 this morning. Hope to see you soon!

Note to parents:

The Bus is running 5-10 minutes behind today - there is no need for concern, but wanted you to know if students are not there when expected.

The 1st quarter Awards Assembly will be on Tuesday, October 13th at 9 am -- we hope you will be able to join us to celebrate your students' accomplishments!

Also, just as a reminder, tomorrow Friday, October 9th is a 1:30 dismissal for the end of the quarter, and there is no school on Monday October 12th in honor of Columbus Day.

Reminder that there is no cheer practice this week. Also a reminder that NH-M does not provide transportation to open gyms for boys' basketball. Once a season begins, we do provide transporation to practices that are immediately after school.

Picture retakes for any student wishing to have pictures retaken will be tomorrow, Thursday 10/8 at 9 am.

Criteria for round 2 incentives for Junior High have been set! The starting date is tomorrow, Tuesday 10/6, and we can't wait to have fun with all of the qualifying students as we approach the end of the 2nd quarter!

To qualify, students must:

• have no more than 1 unexcused absence

• have no more than 5 missing assignments

• have no office referrals resulting in a disciplinary consequence

• have had no more than 2 lunch detentions

The New Holland-Middletown School District would like to thank Senator Sally Turner for stopping by today to drop off supplies to the district, and to meet with Hudson Doellman - art contest winner for Senator Turner's contest earlier for America's 250th . We were one of two schools chosen in Logan County for supplies. Thank you, Senator Turner, for your continual support of our district and our students!

Boys basketball will have open gyms this week on Wednesday and Thursday from after school until 5:00 at CCS.  Any boy in grades 5-8 who plan on playing boys basketball or want to give it a try before practices officially begin are welcome to attend.  The official start date of boys basketball is October 19.  More information about practices and schedules will be forthcoming.  Thank you
