Snow fun!

Just a few of announcements to think about in the upcoming weeks for sports:
1. All sports calendars for Wrestling, Volleyball, and Boys' Basketball have been updated for practices, games, and meets. If you see any mistakes please let me know so I can fix them in the district's calendar.
2. With Volleyball and Wrestling starting up, all athletes will need to make sure they have an updated physical on file. Physicals expire every 395 days. If your athlete had one for last year they will need a new one that is valid before they can practice. If you have any questions on expiration dates on physicals you can email me and I will be sure to find that information for you.
3. All athletes must be in good standing academically. I will be in constant contact with coaches from the different coop school on student/athletes who are ineligible.
My email address for the school is ksmith@nhm88.com

3rd grade brought the Macys day parade to Middletown.

Today's social studies lesson was about community helpers. The class then drew pictures of themselves as the community helpers they want to be when they grow up: dentist & doctor, storm chaser, farmer, mechanic, police officer, veterinarian.

A lot of schools have started their biddy ball programs already. Some schools include 5th grade with biddy ball. Andy Koester is going to have a few practices with just 5th graders to prepare for a 5th grade only game. Don’t worry, there will still be a full 5th/6th grade season in January/February/March. This is just randomly thrown in 5th grade games during the season. Practices for 5th grade only will be as follows: November 27 4:00-6:00, December 1 2:00-4:00, and December 6 3:30-5:00 at Zion.
As always, all schedules can be found on the Crusaders Athletics website.

From Coach Reel for Wrestlers:
Sports physicals are required prior to the start of practice on December 2nd. That can be emailed directly to me at dreel@lincoln27.net or students can bring a physical copy with them to the first day of practice. For practices, they will need to have a pair of shorts, shirt, and wrestling shoes. If they do not have wrestling shoes that is okay as we may have a few extras that could work for them. If there are any parents that have any questions they can text/call me anytime at 309-265-1521.

Please see the following attachments for the December practice schedule for wrestling. I am also posting the meet schedule for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
