The start of boys basketball is right around the corner! The first official boys basketball practice is next Monday, October 20 at CCS. Any boy in grades 5-8 who wants to participate must attend practice (these are not optional open gym practices). All students must have an updated physical on file with their school and basketball shoes that are not or have not been worn outside. Also, there will be a MANDATORY parent meeting in the CCS cafeteria on Thursday at 5:45. Important schedules and information will be given at this meeting.

The schedule for the first week of practice is as follows:

Monday, October 20 4:30-5:45

Tuesday, October 21 3:30-5:00

Wednesday, October 22 4:30-6:00

Thursday, October 23 4:30-6:00

This is a reminder to parents that our Awards Assembly is today 10/10/25 at 9 am. Hope to see you soon! Also, today is a 1:30 dismissal for the end of the 1st quarter. There is no school on Monday for the Columbus Day holiday.

The 5th Graders participated in the Woods Foundation Field Trip for all Logan County schools today! Everyone enjoyed the visit to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry! Thank you Woods Foundation!!

The 7th Grade STEM class finished their Bridge Projects! Voted as the Best Looking Design was Kaelyn and Damien! The Strongest Bridge was a tie between the Kaelyn/Damien and Maci/Lydia teams! Everyone did a great job!

Today in 2nd grade, we got our first update on our calf, Daisy Mae! We watched an informational video and learned that she no longer needs to drink milk from a bottle! She has grown quite a bit since last month!

Does your child need picture re-takes? If so, please let your child's teacher or the office know by tomorrow, Tuesday 10/7 to allow us to get a count of students. Picture retakes will be on Wednesday 10/8. We will bus children to Picture This in Lincoln at 9.
