There will be a parent meeting for any student interested in bowling on Monday, February 3 at 5:30 in the Carroll Catholic School cafeteria. Bowling is open to boys and girls in grades 5-8 from CCS, ZLS, ZMP, and NHM and grades 6-8 at LJHS. Please note, bowling practices will be held at Logan Lanes and meets will be held at Logan Lanes and other places throughout Illinois. There could be some travel involved to attend meets. Carroll Catholic School does not provide transportation to practices or meets. All participants will be responsible for providing their own equipment (bowling ball and shoes) and purchasing their own shirts through CCS. If you are unable to attend the meeting or have any other questions, please contact Michelle Fuiten at CCS.
On Monday, February 10, 2025, the Railer Basketball Program will honor all 8th-grade boys’ basketball players, cheerleaders, and coaches from the teams that feed into Lincoln Community High School. The introductions will take place at halftime of the varsity game vs. Bloomington High School. The JV game will begin at 5:30 pm with the varsity game to follow at approximately 7:00 pm. Everyone should arrive early to the game just to be safe from an earlier varsity start.
On the night of the game, players, cheerleaders, and coaches should check in at the pass gate upon their arrival and sit together as a group in SECTION LL. Everyone should meet in the Back Gym at the end of the first quarter of the varsity game.

Did you know that research consistently shows that school attendance is directly linked to academic achievement, including better grades, improved test scores, and a higher likelihood of on-time graduation?
Did you know that chronic absenteeism can lead to lower performance, increased risk of falling behind in core subjects, and difficulty in meeting grade-level expectations?
Did you know that frequent absences can also impact your child’s social development?
Did you know that students with poor attendance habits are more likely to struggle with self-confidence and motivation, which can negatively affect their long-term educational and career goals?
Did you know that students who are frequently absent are at a higher risk of dropping out of school, which can limit their future career and earning potential?
