Parents/Guardians,
Thanks so much for your patience and understanding on our needed early dismissal yesterday 2/18/25 due to our broken pipe situation and heating concerns. Our West entrance will remain closed while we work through needed repairs, and staff, students, and visitors will need to use the main entrance to enter and exit the building. During this time of West entrance closure, we will be changing our dismissal procedure slightly for walkers and students who are picked up from school.
All bus students will be dismissed first. Following departure of the bus, walkers and students being picked up will be dismissed. We will do this on an individual basis, with students being dismissed as their parents' vehicles pull up to the front door.
If your child is to be picked up, please pull your car up to the front entrance, and we will release your student to you right at the front door.
Thank you in advance for your understanding. We are in hopes that this will simplify the process we were not fully prepared for yesterday, and maintain safety for students not cutting across the parking lot while we have a large bus or other vehicles in motion, as well as keep our students out of the cold.
Should you need to exit your vehicle for any reason to enter the school, please make sure to park in a parking space in the lot and avoid parent pick up at the front door in the circle drive. We would like to keep this line in motion for all of our parents and students.
Thank you in advance for your help and understanding!

Stem this week was seeing how tall of a tower you could build with candy hearts.

Hello NHM families. Spring is right around the corner as well as spring sports. NHM track and field will start on 3-3-25 right after school. Practices will normally run till 5 pm. I would like to have a parent meeting on 3-3-25 at 5 pm in the school's gym to talk about the season.
Before the first day of practice all student/athletes will need to be in good standing with their grades as well as have a valid physical on file. It is highly recommended each student/athlete be prepared to workout outside as well as inside. I also highly recommend a good pair of running shoes for all athletes. Thank you for your time. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at ksmith@nhm88.com

Today Kindergarten learned about the craters on the moon. The students were then able to use play dough dropping objects from different heights to make craters.

Since CCS is not in session today, Wednesday, there will be no volleyball practice. Game on Thursday at Hartem. 7th grade game starts at 6:00 and the RED game will follow the 8th grade game.

Since CCS is not in session today, Wednesday, bowling practice is canceled. Thank you. Stay warm!

Out of an abundance of caution and due to weather forecast predictions, New Holland-Middletown School District will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday February 12, 2025. Stay safe and warm tomorrow!

Just in time for tonight's/tomorrow's full moon, Kindergarten has started learning about the moon. Today's lesson was on night and day. Have your student look tonight to see if the full moon is visible through the clouds.
