Kindergarten is learning about force and friction. We experimented using hot wheels cars on the smooth tile floor of the cafeteria and the carpeted floor of the library. We gave them gentle pushes and hard pushes. They noticed when giving the cars a hard push on the carpet they stopped rolling and crashed.

When you get a blast from the past to come visit you during their writing period, you make the most of it by writing, of course, but also memorializing the moment with pictures! Thank you for coming to visit me, Elijah! It was great to see you again!

Lincoln Touch-a-Truck will be happening again this year at Scully Park, Saturday, September 13, from 9 am - 1 pm.  The event is FREE and a great educational opportunity.  The event will be sensory free from 9-10 am meaning no lights and no sirens.  Look out when it is 10 o'clock though.  We have about 13 different trucks coming along with the emergency vehicles. Food trucks and kids entertainment will also be at the park.
